Inujima

･:*   . Welcome to Inujima .*:･ This time, we were happy to welcome many international students —- all from a Japanese language school. Their backgrounds were wonderfully diverse, with participants from France, Poland, and the Netherlands, and even two friends joining us from Bangladesh. While working together, we chatted about things like “What brought you to Japan?”, “What is your dream job?”, and “What is your hometown like?” Since I love travelling, it was really inspiring to hear their stories and imagine what life might be like in their countries. Weeding can be pretty tough work, but this time, I truly enjoyed the moment! (Maybe because the weather was cooler too, haha.)  Different colors, tastes, and stories💭💘 After working hard, of course, we need a short break — and today, we had our usual herb tea time.   今日は犬島での活動を行いました。 今回は多くの留学生が参加してくれました。 まず、ソーシャルデザインの授業を履修している3人で、留学生に犬島について簡単に説明しました。 その後、みんなでハーブティーを作り、少し片付けや草抜きをしてから、お昼ご飯を食べました。 昼食はいつも通り、犬島の住民の方が用意してくださり、今回はハラルやベジタリアンの方にも対応した食事を提供してくださいました。 住民の方々の温かい心遣いに、改めて感謝の気持ちが湧きました 午後はガーデンの手入れを行い、キウイの苗などを植えました。 最後に、以前も作ったスワッグの制作を行いました。 今回の活動では、異文化交流を通してさまざまな国の人と関わることができ、ガーデンの手入れもできてとても充実した一日になりました。

夏休み前ぶりに犬島を訪れました！ビニールハウス付近の雑草や木を掃除しました。久しぶりにガーデンを訪れると、草がたくさん生えていてびっくりしました。ちょうど 瀬戸内国際芸術祭🎨 が開催中で、世界各国から多くのお客さんが訪れており、イベントの影響力を間近で感じることができました✨🌏また、商科大学付属高校の生徒たちも一緒に参加してくれて、みんなで協力しながらきれいに掃除をしました🙌 作業が終わったあと、島民の方が作ってくれたカツカレーをいただきました🍛お昼の時間には、自分の今後のプロジェクトの話をスタッフさんや高校生のみんなに聞いてもらったり、普段なかなか話す機会のない世代の方のお話を聞いたりしました。新しい視点がもらえて、すごく刺激的な時間でした✨ 午後は、観光客が最も多く訪れる時間帯だと教えていただいたので、みんなで ハーブティーを作り、来島者にふるまう 活動を行いました。最初は知らない人に話しかけるのが少し不安でしたが、何度か挑戦するうちに、どんな声かけが相手に安心感を与えるかを考えながら話すことができるようになりました。ハーブティーをきっかけに、自分たちのプロジェクトや犬島のことを紹介する機会も増え、とても貴重な体験になりました。海外からの観光客も多く、英語でコミュニケーションを取る場面もありました。特に台湾から来られた方と仲良くなり、一緒に写真を撮ったり📸、私たちが作ったハーブティー☕🌿を試飲してもらったりしました！ その後は、自分たちのガーデンの手入れをしたり、新しい植物をいくつか植えたりしました。暑さと蚊の多さには苦戦しましたが、いろいろな人とお話ししながら楽しく活動でき、とても充実した一日になりました🌞✨

  Hi again, Inujima(*˘︶˘*).｡.:*♡ After two months, we finally came back to our home — Inujima! We started the day by removing the stubborn vines that grown wild. At first, I thought it would be a perfect day to work in the garden. But after an hour later the sun appeared and quickly took our energy😵‍💫🌀 Still, we made it!(✌︎ -͈᷅‎ v -͈᷄) ︎ Talking with people I hadn’t known well before, greeting those I haven’t seen for a while — those moments were truly priceless. In my everyday life, I rarely get to talk with anyone outside of Seishin students, so being able to share stories about my summer vacation and hear about their own experiences created new connections that felt so meaningful ⟡.·*.  All cleaned up🍃✅ Let’s hear that order𓏸𓂂𓈒🫖 “What’s your feeling today? 今回は犬島のくらしの植物園で、草抜きをメインに行ないました。また、私達のがイノシシに荒らされてしまったため、新しく畑に植物を植えました。 午前中は小屋の周りの植物を抜いていきました。 今回の昼食はカツカレーでした！とても美味しかったです いまは、瀬戸内国際芸術祭の会期中なので、植物園にも多くの人が来ていました。私達は、来てくれた方々に、ハーブティーを配り、コミュニケーションを深めました1 涼しくなってきたので、夏よりも作業はやりやすかったですが、まだまだ暑くて、蚊も多かったので、草抜きはとても大変でした。犬島の人だけでなく、観光に来ている様々な人とも交流が出来てとても良い機会になりました！ 皆さんも是非、犬島に行ってみてください
