Inujima Diaries: Where Connections Bloom‪🪻‬🌷𓈒𓂂◌

 Hi again, Inujima(*˘︶˘*).｡.:*♡


After two months, we finally came back to our home — Inujima!


We started the day by removing the stubborn vines that grown wild.

At first, I thought it would be a perfect day to work in the garden. But after an hour later the sun appeared and quickly took our energy😵‍💫🌀



Still, we made it!(✌︎ -͈᷅‎ v -͈᷄) ︎
Talking with people I hadn’t known well before, greeting those I haven’t seen for a while — those moments were truly priceless.

In my everyday life, I rarely get to talk with anyone outside of Seishin students, so being able to share stories about my summer vacation and hear about their own experiences created new connections that felt so meaningful ⟡.·*.

“What’s your feeling today? Do you want something fresh or sweet?”

In this garden, you can make any kind of herb tea you like.

This time, we created one that’s fresh yet a little sweet — topped with cute edible flowers. 

We didn’t expect it, but the color turned out so beautiful! Almost like Tiffany blue 🩵✨(hehe)


We served this masterprice herb tea to tourists👩🏻‍🍳⑅*॰

Since the Setouch Triennale is happening now, many visitors, both Japanese and from abroad, have come by.

Many of them said, “Thank you for the good herb tea!” 

I hope we could share a small piece of positivity and help create a gentle, eternal image of Inujima🏝️‪🧡‬‪

Before heading home, we planted some seedlings — small hopes for the next story to grow.

I’m already excited thinking about how future students will find lifelong friendships and be filled with inspiration in this garden next year.


From this little garden, people connect, reunite, and grow.

That’s the beauty of Inujima — every season brings new connections and gentle beginnings.

A little water, a lot of hope🌟*･ﾟ•*

Inujima Diaries: A Slice of Summer🎐🩵

Our third Inujima activity was burning hot literally! Under the blazing summer sun, we held a cheerful pizza using ingredients from the Life Garden we planted back in May.   【Found it 🍅👀】 I was a bit worried about the extreme heat, but while searching through the overgrown beds, I finally found a tomato! (So many weeds, though.) After clearing them out, we found even more, and they were incredibly juicy.  Honestly, they tasted better than store-bought ones😋💕 【Wellness Starts in the Soil *｡✧】 Why? Inujima diaries☁️ Chill Island Vibes + Deep Reflection 🏝️🌷🫖

  Have you ever heard of Inujima? This small island, located just 10 minutes by boat from Hoden Port in southern Okayama Prefecture, is home to only 26 residents. Despite its natural beauty and artistic charm, depopulation is a serious issue—and we’re working step by step to help change that. 😊 Last weekend, we visited Inujima. As we walked around, we were surrounded by both modern art and traces of the island’s past. It was such a fascinating experience, but at the same time, we couldn’t ignore the signs of depopulation. ☹️ After exploring various spots around the island, we eventually arrived at a special place called “Inujima Life Garden” (犬島 暮らしの植物園).
